I scream, You scream, We all scream for Ice Cream

In 1992, Steve Dodt was a co-founder of the Northern Territory University Athletics Club (NTUAC) along with James Noblett, his sprinting training partner.

Steve in his role as Club Treasurer, went looking outside the square in terms of finding funding to pay for uniforms. His journey took him to partnering with a local Soft Serve Van who was invited by NTUAC to sell Ice Creams and Cold Drinks at the end of the Home Straight at every NT Athletics Inter Club competition.

The partnership was an immediate success with the Club earning the necessary money to self fund its uniforms which led to an increase in club registrations. The NTUAC was crowned Club Champions in 1993.
