{"id":505,"date":"2007-09-16T22:52:00","date_gmt":"2007-09-16T22:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sprintcoach.training\/canberra\/?p=505"},"modified":"2023-12-02T03:17:00","modified_gmt":"2023-12-02T03:17:00","slug":"patron-of-spielwelt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/sprintcoach.training\/canberra\/patron-of-spielwelt\/","title":{"rendered":"Patron of Spielwelt"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sprintcoach.training\/canberra\/steve-dodt\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"9\">Canberra Sprint Coach and Head Performance Coach of FAST Running, Steve Dodt<\/a>, was made an <a href=\"https:\/\/spielwelt.org.au\/about\/our-supporters\/patrons\/\">official Patron of Spielwelt<\/a>, the German Parents Association. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Steve joins the likes of the esteemed Dr Klaus-Peter Klaiber (former German Ambassador to Australia), Associate Professor Roger Hillman (ANU) and the late Professor Michael Clyne (Monash University). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cI am very excited to have played a small part in the establishment of Spielwelt over 10 years ago. Exposure to a second language through immersion and\u00a0cultural play is the best kind of environment in which to thrive and learn, from my experience. Having learnt German as a child here in Australia I\u00a0truly see the value of the\u00a0German language playgroups, the German Australian Playschool and the German Australian Pfadfinder Scouts. Knowing a second language opens one\u2019s world to new\u00a0possibilities and I\u00a0strongly encourage everyone to give it a go and have fun.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<cite>Steve Dodt &#8211; 16 September 2007<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Supporting local community organisations is something Steve feels deeply passionate about.
