The Coaches Eye

In under three weeks, Steve Dodt will join an exclusive group of coaches who will be learning directly from Dan Pfaff over the next four months. The focus of this journey with Dan is to master movement analysis and refine the coaching eye.

Dan Pfaff has tutored 49 Olympians including nine medalists, 51 World Championship competitors (also nine medalists), and five world-record holders. He has directed athletes to 57 national records across a multitude of events. This group includes Donovan Bailey—The 1996 Atlanta Olympic Gold Medalist in the 100m; As well as Bruny Surin and Glenroy Gilbert—who teamed with Bailey to win the 4 × 100m relay in Atlanta ; Greg Rutherford who won the London 2012 Olympics in the men’s long jump, Andre De Grasse a multiple Olympic medalist in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay, including gold in the 200m at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and Obadele Thompson (Barbados) – Olympic bronze medalist in the 100 meters at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Steve will be sharing video of his FAST Performance athletes with Dan to get analysis of their movement for feedback and skill development. Steve has taken many hours of footage of athletes and having such an esteemed coach as Dan and Altis to provide valuable insights will assist the performance of every member of FAST Running.
