Duke of Edinburgh Award Assessor Steve Dodt, March 14, 2024March 14, 2024 The former Duke of Edinburgh, founded a program for boys and girls in the 1950s to encourage them to learn more about their own individual courage, strength and compassion, in the pursuit of the good of those young people and the communities in which they lived. The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) is the world’s leading youth achievement award. The DofE and its mission to encourage personal discovery, self-reliance and responsibility in an environment of social interaction and team work has remained unchanged through the course of over 60 years.
