Celebrating 30 years of sprinting and hurdling coaching Steve Dodt, January 5, 2024January 5, 2024 Canberra Sprints Coach, Steve Dodt, is celebrating his 30th year of coaching this year. From humble beginnings training sprinters and hurdlers in the outback of Australia in the Northern Territory, Steve has contributed to the development of thousands of athletes in the years since. Having trained on the sand dunes of Casuarina Beach, the grass tracks of Fred’s Pass and Malak, and the Alice Springs’ Headley Street track, not to mention the international standard track at Marrara Stadium, Steve’s experience is unmatched in Canberra. To celebrate the anniversary Steve will be running a series of Sprint Camps on the South Coast of NSW for Athletes in the ACT and the local area to come together for a weekend of in-depth training and expert analysis. This innovative program of activities is another first for Canberra’s award winning Sprint Coach.
