Canberra Sprint Coach Appointed to Two ACT Teams for 2025 National Championships

Canberra Sprint Coach - Steve Dodt

Canberra-based sprint coach Steve Dodt has been selected as a Coach for the ACT Team to the Australian All Schools Championships, to be held in Melbourne this December.

The All Schools Championships bring together the top junior athletes from across the country, and Steve’s appointment reflects his ongoing commitment to athlete development and high-performance coaching. He will be working alongside ACT’s best school-aged sprinters, hurdlers, and jumpers, helping them prepare and perform at their peak on the national stage.

This role adds to Steve’s earlier appointment as a Coach for the ACT 12 & Under Team at the School Sport Australia Track & Field Championships, which will take place in Canberra earlier that same month.

To be appointed to two national-level ACT teams in one season highlights both Steve’s coaching expertise and the strong athlete pathways being built across the territory. His work through FAST Running and Canberra Sprint Coach has helped nurture athletes from grassroots to national representation — providing structure, mentorship, and elite training opportunities for athletes of all ages and abilities.

These dual appointments are a testament to Steve’s leadership, coaching impact, and passion for developing ACT athletes to compete with the very best in the country.
